Radium

Radium is a thoughtful transformation of a historic loft inside the early-1900s McClaren Mill, a twelve-unit building known for its exposed brick, pine ceilings, and creative community. After moving from Brookhaven in search of deeper connection and small-town vibrancy, the homeowners chose Radium Lofts for its authenticity, walkability, and the sense of belonging that comes from living among artists, entrepreneurs, and even a nationally recognized chef. Our role was to honor the mill’s character while elevating the interior to reflect the warmth and personality of its new owners. The entire main level was reimagined with a redesigned kitchen featuring custom cabinetry, chef-grade appliances, and sculptural raised-and-mitered Cambria countertops. A refreshed bar anchored by a beautifully integrated wine fridge and frameless glass wine display brings a modern counterpoint to the loft’s industrial structure. Throughout the home, curated lighting, warm flooring, and intentional material transitions soften the architecture without losing its history. The powder bath—affectionately called “the pretty powder”—was transformed into a jewel-box moment filled with personality and expressive finishes. Upstairs, the primary ensuite was reorganized into a spa-like retreat designed for calm, comfort, and daily renewal. The remainder of the home received aesthetic unification to elevate the flow and clarity of the space. The result is a refined retreat that blends the building’s historic charm with modern sophistication, a home grounded in community and connection, and a clear expression of the elevated lifestyle the owners sought when they chose to call Radium Lofts home.
